My friends, we are living in dangerous times. The enemy, the devil, is waging an all out war for the world, and our souls. We are living in a world of delusion, a world in which we can see the evil and the lies that stand before us, but believe that they cannot be real. To the unsaved, the deterioration of of society, is just the way things are, and they return to their lives, blinded from the truth.
Now we are faced the the spirit of separation; not just a separation between us and God, due to our sinful nature, but separation from each other. The leaders of this world seek to divide us by color, race, sex and ethnicity. The powers and principalities of this world do not want us uniting in the truth. The truth that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ.
As we turn away from the Lord, and each other, the value of life diminishes, jealousy, greed, hatred, and violence increase. Our eyes are clouded from the truth; the devil makes us believe that we are each other's enemy, not him, and as we turn on one another, the world falls into the darkness of self-destruction and murder.
Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. Romans 1:28-32
We need to remember that God created us, and we are united by blood. Jesus Christ shed His blood that we might be saved; and as brothers and sisters in Christ, we should battle, not each other, but the evil of this world.
To change the hatred and violence in this world we must look past the outer shell that the enemy wants us to see, and respond too; we must see the soul of the person, and realize that we are all God's creation. We are not the enemy; we are soldiers of God, and our battle is against the evil one who wants to destroy us all.
And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.-Hebrews 11:32-34
If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I pray that you make that decision today, and join us in the battles of this world.
