Teen Takes Own Life After Months of Lockdown Isolation
The "Lockdown," is almost as bad as the COVID19. The big question is, Why does this generation seem so isolated? They seem to be the most connected thanks to social media. The facetime, snapchat, what's app, zoom and who knows what else, but why so lonely and isolated?
These young people are searching for something or someone to connect with and fill the hole in their lives. As we have removed God the public square, and schools; and church attendance has fallen, where is this generation's opportunity to connect with Jesus? The hole that needs filled is spiritual, no material.
We must reach out to our young people and share the Good News of the Gospel. There is the hope and fulfilment that they are searching for in their lives. We must be the "social media" that leads them to the Lord.
Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.-Isaiah 41:10
