I am writing to encourage you to vote against the NASA Enhanced Use Leasing Extension Act. It seems that the House has included HR 1 and HR 4 in this legislation. To sneak legislation that will federalize elections and fundamentally change the election process, is why the Congress is not trusted and has an approval rating in the single digits.
When you have over 150 million people vote in an election, voter suppression is not an issue. The issue is election integrity. Considering that in Pennsylvania you need to show ID to cash a check, buy tobacco and alcohol; requiring a photo ID hardly seems to place an undue burden on a legally registered voter.
Unless, of course, you consider the use of photo ID to be suppressing the ability to cash a check, or purchase tobacco and alcohol.
It is time for a little common sense to be used to guarantee election integrity.
Thank you for your time, and again I urge you to vote no, on this Trojan Horse legislation.
Sincerely,
John Gregory Parks
